What Is Honor of Kings: World? A Short Overview
Honor of Kings: World is Tencent's open-world action RPG set in Primaera — an eastern-fantasy continent built on characters and lore from the Honor of Kings MOBA universe.
Honor of Kings: World is an open-world action RPG developed by TiMi Studio Group and published globally by Level Infinite. It is a spinoff — not a sequel — to the Honor of Kings MOBA, sharing the same character roster and lore but replacing the 5v5 arena with a continuous, exploratory world called Primaera.[1][2]
What the game actually is
- Single-player adventure with cooperative multiplayer boss encounters.
- Dual-hero combat — you bring two heroes into the field and swap between them mid-battle.
- Open world you traverse on foot, by mount, and (in some regions) by flight.
- PvE content is the main axis; PvP exists but is not the core loop.
- Life systems — home building, farming, fishing, crafting — run alongside the adventure.
What the game is not
- Not a MOBA. Honor of Kings: World is a single/coop ARPG — not a 5v5 arena game.
- Not a sequel to the MOBA. Character identities and some lore are shared; gameplay is a clean break.
- Not a battle royale or extraction title.
Who's building it
TiMi Studio Group is the developer — the same Tencent studio behind Honor of Kings and the collaborative-dev work on Call of Duty: Mobile. Level Infinite handles global publishing. The game was announced as "built with global audiences in mind from the start" but, as of April 2026, is only live in mainland China.[1][2]
